Speaking: My bedroom

Попробуем рассказать о своей спальне. Кстати, не забудьте, что некоторая лексика в британском английском отличается от американского. Мы об этом уже говорили.

По спальне это будут такие слова:
dressing table (BrE) - dresser (AmE)
wardrobe (BrE) - closet (AmE)
К сожалению, аудио с youtube пропало, но текст остался. Возможно кому-то пригодится для рассказа.

My bed is nice and soft.
I have a pretty bedspread on my bed. I have sheets and a blanket on my bed also.
I use two feather pillows. My pillows have pillowcases on them.
My dresser has a mirror on it. I have a lamp on top of my dresser.
I also have some picture frames with pictures of my friends and family on top of my dresser.
There is an alarm clock beside my bed so that I can wake up on time in the morning.
I keep many clothes in my dresser drawers. The drawers are nice and deep.
My closet is large. It is a walk-in closet. I have my clothes hanging in my closet.
All of my clothes are hung on hangers. My shoes are all lined up on the floor of my closet.
There are shelves at the top of my closet. I keep games up there.
There is a rug on my bedroom floor. My bedroom window looks out over the back yard.
There are curtains on my bedroom window. My bedroom is very cozy.
At night, I turn off the lamp and get under the covers. I set my alarm clock for seven o'clock.
I lay my head on the pillow, and I fall asleep.

My bedroom

Слова для описания гостиной мы уже повторили. Теперь принимаемся за спальню. Принцип работы такой же: щелкаем мышкой по предмету, появляется надпись и звучит слово. Чтобы затем проверить себя, обновляем страницу, произносим слово и только потом открываем текст.

Детский взгляд на жизнь в России

Недавно на глаза попался текст, который я решила разместить на блоге, благо зарубежный сайт, на котором я его нашла, разрешает это делать в учебных целях. Дети там пишут о своих странах. Почитайте рассказ о России, написанный десятилетней девочкой. Мне, лично, кажется, что ребенок самостоятельно вряд ли смог бы так написать. Я даже не язык имею ввиду, а само содержание. Хотя вроде все просто. Может кому-нибудь пригодится для монологического высказывания или сочинения.

Zdravstvuite (hello) menia zovut( my name is) Olia. I am a 10 year old girl.  I live in Moscow, Russia.  I speak Russian and English and write in Russian Cyrillic. Russia is a very big country even though many republics have left since the Soviet Union broke apart in 1991.  In fact, Russia is the biggest country in the world.  Part of Russia is in Asia and part of it is in Europe.  In the summer it is warm but in the winter it's cold and snows.      

My family is Russian, like most of the families here, which means we are descendants of the Slavic people.  I usually wear jeans and cotton sweaters.  Dresses are O.K. People in my country dress a lot like people in the United States although many wear plainer clothing and of course we have to wear warm clothing since Russia is known for its long, cold winters.     

I live in an apartment like most people in Moscow.  The cities in Russia are very crowded. The apartment buildings are very tall but our apartment is very small.  I fold up my bed during the day and store my bed sheets.  At night, I make my whole bed.  It's work. We also share a kitchen and toilet with two other families.
